ABOUT THE DESIGN The official arms were drawn in London in 1637; this one was drawn for the Rock, by people who love it. A quartered shield carries the four emblems any Newfoundlander would choose: the spring iceberg, the cod, the puffin, and the Newfoundland dog. Golden lions rampant stand guard, crowns stack above, and the province's name scrolls beneath — proper heraldry, minted new. On the tote the whole crest gets room to hold court, a single bold centrepiece against soft rose pink with a subtle diamond ground. Same design as our Crest of the Rock crossbody, sized up for the days when the essentials aren't enough.
