Newfinese Please ("we", "us", "our") operates newfineseplease.ca, a Shopify-powered online store selling Newfoundland & Labrador-themed apparel and accessories. We are based in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over your information. It applies to all visitors, customers, and subscribers who interact with our website or communications.

•     Name, shipping address, and billing address when placing an order

•     Email address when placing an order or signing up for our email list

•     Payment information — processed securely by Shopify Payments. We never see or store your full card number.

To fulfil your order

We use your name, address, and contact details to process your order, coordinate production with our manufacturing partner (Duplium, Vaughan, Ontario for tees; Art of Where Inc., Montreal, QC for bags), and ship your order via Canada Post. We share only the minimum information necessary with each partner to complete your order.

 

To communicate with you

We use your email address to send order confirmations, shipping notifications, and responses to any messages you send us. If you opt in to our marketing list, we use Shopify Email to send you updates about new products, promotions, and Newfoundland culture content. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.

 

For advertising and analytics

We use advertising pixels and analytics tools to understand how our site is used, measure the effectiveness of our marketing, and show relevant ads to people who have visited our site. These tools are described in detail in the Third-Party Services section below.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We share data with the services above only as necessary to operate our business and fulfil your orders.

 

The Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest pixels are small pieces of code on our website that track your actions (such as viewing a product or completing a purchase) and report them back to those platforms. This allows us to:

•     Show ads to people who have previously visited our site (retargeting)

•     Build audiences of people similar to our existing customers (lookalike audiences)

Our store runs on Shopify, which maintains PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure and SSL encryption across all pages. We never store full payment card numbers — payment processing is handled entirely by Shopify Payments.

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, and loss. No method of data transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we maintain industry-standard safeguards.

 

Our website is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us at support@newfineseplease.ca and we will delete it promptly.
