Our Sayings, Your Style

Bold colours, familiar sayings, and a little Newfoundland attitude.

You know that moment when someone says something and you think, That sounds just like Nan? Or a friend lets out a “Me Nerves!” and everybody laughs because, well, you know exactly what they mean.

That’s the feeling behind our Newfinese Graffiti Collection.

We’ve taken words you might hear around the kitchen table, out with friends, or in a quick chat at the shop and given them a bright, playful look. There’s affection in some, a bit of cheek in others, and plenty to recognise.

Which One Sounds Like You?

Maybe you’re “Best Kind” most days. Maybe “Crooked” is more accurate before your morning coffee. And if you’re always the first one up for a good night out, “Havin’ a Time!” might already have your name on it.

Then there are the sayings that belong to someone else in your life. You spot “Me Nerves!” and immediately think of your sister. “Buddy” reminds you of a friend. “Me Nan” makes you smile before you’ve even clicked on it.

Choosing a favourite is half the fun. So is seeing who recognises it when you wear it.

A Little Louder, A Little Brighter

The tees keep things simple: a black shirt, bold lettering, and a good splash of colour. Bright pink, turquoise, orange, yellow, and blue give the familiar words a fresh look, with chunky letters and strong outlines that stand out.

Throw one on with your favourite jeans and you’re ready to go. “Whadda Ya At?” can start the conversation. “What Odds!” can speak for itself.

For those with a soft spot for home, there’s “The Rock.” For those who want to claim their corner of it, there’s “Bay Girl” or “Townie Girl.”

You don’t have to dress them up much. The words have plenty of personality already.

The Bags Have Plenty to Say, Too

We couldn’t leave all the fun to the T-shirts.

Our Graffiti bags bring several expressions together in colourful patterns. The cream tote and matching crossbody are scattered with stars and sayings like “A Scuff and a Scoff,” “Giv’ner Till Mornin’,” and “I Dies At Ya.” Look a little closer and you’ll keep finding another familiar phrase.

If blue is more your thing, “Newfinese Greetings on the Water” mixes sayings with waves. Or there’s “Newfinese Sweethearts,” with pink hearts and affectionate words such as “Me Love” and “Me Dear.”

Carry a favourite on its own, or pair a tote with its matching crossbody. Either way, there’s a fair chance someone will stop you to read it.

Take a Favourite With You

You might live in Newfoundland, miss it from somewhere else, or have come for a visit and left with a few new expressions of your own.

Whatever your connection, we hope you find something here that makes you smile—a saying you use, a voice you remember, or the perfect gift for someone who’ll open it and say, “That’s so me.”
